IME Remit became the highest income tax paying remittance company

KATHMANDU: FRIDAY, APRIL 2, 2021 – IME has been named as the company that pays the most income tax towards remittance remittances. During a function organized by the Inland Revenue Department on Thursday, Revenue Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Ram Sharan Pudasaini handed over the certificate to IME Group Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal.

IME has become the first company in the remittance sector in the list as the Inland Revenue Department honored the 15 highest tax payers on the occasion of Tax Day last Mangshir. The Inland Revenue Office on Thursday honored IME Remit as the highest income tax paying company in a ceremony.

Although the announcement was made on the occasion of Tax Day last December, the event could not be held formally due to the ban on holding events due to Covid-19. Earlier, the IME has been given this honor by the Government of Nepal three times in a row. On the occasion of the Ninth National Tax Day, various companies including IME have been honored today.
