Global IME Bank launches branchless banking service in Rolpa’s Darbot Bazaar
KATHMANDU: TUESDAY, MARCH 30, 2021 – Global IME Bank Limited has launched a new branchless banking service in Rolpa’s Darbot Bazaar from Monday. At the same time, the number of branchless banking services of the bank has reached 257, the bank said.
Mayor of Rolpa Municipality Purna KC inaugurated the branchless banking service during a function organized by the bank on Monday.
Residents of rural areas will be able to avail various banking services through local representatives through branchless banking services.
From this, one can open a deposit account, deposit and withdraw money up to the prescribed limit, get information about the balance in one’s account, pay interest on the loan, pay the tariff of Dishome, CDME, UTL, NTC, recharge the mobile and other services, the bank said.
Global IME Bank has started branchless banking services in these areas where agriculture, tourism and remittances are the main sources of income.
Global IME Bank is providing services to customers from more than 800 service centers including 273 branches, 242 ATMs, 257 branchless banking services, 47 extensions and revenue collection counters and 3 foreign representative offices in all 7 states and 76 districts with the objective of providing access to banking services across the country and abroad. The bank has been serving more than 2.2 million customers with the slogan ‘Bank for All’.
