Meeting between Chamber officials and the Ambassador of Pakistan
KATHMANDU: THURSDAY, MARCH 25, 2021 – A meeting has been held between Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Rajesh Kaji Shrestha and Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Haider Shah.
On the occasion, discussions were held on expanding economic ties between the two countries.
During the discussion, Chairman of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce Rajesh Kaji Shrestha informed that the Chamber has played a leading role in creating an industrial and business environment in Nepal.
He said that Nepali industrialists were willing to expand economic ties with Pakistan and urged them to invest in Nepal.
He suggested to Ambassador Shah to attract investors in hydropower, tourism, agriculture, herbs, mining and other sectors in Nepal.
He informed that there is a conducive environment for investment in Nepal due to the customs facility provided by China to Nepal on 8,000 items.
Chairman Shrestha proposed to meet buyers-sellers between Nepali and Pakistani businessmen to expand the business environment.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal Shah said that Pakistan wanted to establish relations with Nepal in various fields, adding that private sector organizations such as the Chamber could play a significant role.
