Agreement between Nepal Bangladesh Bank and Nepal Federation of Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs
KATHMANDU: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 24, 2021 – A banking partnership agreement has been signed between Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited and the Federation of Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs, an Chhata organization of gold and silver traders.
The agreement was signed by Salonika Singh, Assistant General Manager of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited and Manik Ratna Shakya, President of the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs.
According to the agreement, gold traders affiliated to the federation can avail various banking facilities from the branches of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited across Nepal.
In order to make the policy of promoting cashless transactions of Nepal Rastra Bank successful, the buyers in gold and silver shops can make payment through the QR code of Nepal Bangladesh Bank.
In addition, gold and silver entrepreneurs run by women and Dalit communities affiliated to federations across the Kingdom of Nepal will also be able to get concessional ‘Women Entrepreneur Loan’ and ‘Dalit Community Business Development Loan’ from Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited.
At present, Nepal Bangladesh Bank has been providing banking facility from 99 branches and 7 extension counters.
