Global IME Bank launches new branchless banking service in Solukhumbu
KATHMANDU: TUESDAY, MARCH 23, 2021 – Global IME Bank Limited has launched a new branchless banking service in Phaplu, Solukhumbu. With the launch of this branchless banking service, the number of branchless banking services of the bank has reached 256.
Deputy Mayor of Solu Dudhkund Municipality Kalpana Rai inaugurated the branchless banking service in Solu Dudhkund Municipality-4, Phaplu. Mankumar Shrestha has been appointed as the representative of the bank for the branchless banking service.
According to the bank, locals from various rural areas of the country can avail banking services through local representatives from the branchless banking service. From this, the bank can open deposit account, deposit and withdraw up to the prescribed limit, get information about the balance in its account, pay interest on the loan, pay the tariff of Dis Home / CDMA / UTL / NTC, recharge the mobile and other services.
Global IME Bank has launched branchless banking services in these areas to alleviate the compulsion of the residents of these areas where agriculture, tourism and remittances are the main sources of income to consume banking services.
Global IME Bank is providing services to customers from more than 800 service centers including 270 branches, 242 ATMs, 256 branchless banking services, 47 extensions and revenue collection counters and 3 foreign representative offices in all 7 provinces and 75 districts with the objective of providing access to banking services across the country and abroad. The bank has been providing services to more than 2.2 million customers under the slogan ‘Bank for All’.
