Agreement between Commercial Bank and Federal Parliament Secretariat
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited and the Federal Parliament Secretariat have reached an agreement to provide professional simple loans to the staff of the Secretariat.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Rastriya Banijya Bank Kaviraj Adhikari and Chief Joint Secretary of the Administration Division of the Federal Parliament Secretariat Dr. Rojnath Pandey has signed.
After the signing of the agreement, the bank will disburse professional loans up to a maximum of Rs. 1.5 million on the recommendation of the secretariat to the employees working in the Parliament Secretariat under the Consumer Credit Directive, 2077.
The bank will invest the loan by maintaining the premium pair interest rate at the base rate. At present, the base rate of the bank is 5.61 percent. As per the agreement, the salary account of the staff of the secretariat will be operated by the bank. It is believed that both sides will benefit from this agreement.
Chairman of the Federal Parliament Secretariat Employees Union Namaraj Nagarkoti presided over the function Deputy Executive Officer Debendra Raman Khanal, Heads of Departments, Branch Manager of Singha Durbar Campus Robin Ghimire, Chief Comptroller of Accounts Deputy Secretary Basanta Raj Sigdel and other senior staff members were present on behalf of the Secretariat.
The bank currently has 247 branch offices, 205 ATMs and 98 branchless banking in 77 districts.
