Machhapuchhre Bank making Banke smart
KATHMANDU: Machhapuchhre Bank Limited has started QR code service in 4 places in one day by holding a formal program for the first time in Nepalgunj of Banke district.
With the objective of making Banke district smart, the bank has handed over QR codes to Sunrise Transport in Nepalgunj, Hong Kong Bazaar on New Road in Nepalgunj and Agricultural Produce Market Committee in Rani Talau and vegetable and fruit shops in Kohalpur.
Govinda Prasad Nagila, director of Nepal Rastra Bank, Nepalgunj, has launched QR code service in Tisthan through a separate informal program organized on Wednesday.
As soon as the QR code service is launched, passengers traveling on the Sunrise transport from Nepalgunj to Dang, Dhangadhi and Bardiya routes will be able to pay the vehicle fare directly from their bank account using the QR code. The amount of daily necessities like vegetables, fruits and clothes purchased at the Hong Kong Bazaar on New Road in Nepalgunj, Krishi Bazaar in Rani Talau and Krishi Bazaar in Kohalpur can also be paid through QR code.
The last time QR code service was introduced due to many features like digital payment of goods and services through your own bank account without any hassle of customer as well as merchant, developing habit of saving, merchant not having to go to bank every day to deposit money from their trade. Reservation in class and area is increasing.
Keeping this in mind, the bank has been providing this service in most parts of the country lately.
Machhapuchhre Bank, which has been committed to bring new technology based services to its customers since its inception, has recently launched its own mobile wallet Remitap for the first time in the history of Nepali Commercial Banking. Technologies have already brought their customers.
