KATHMANDU: The franchise team of the ‘Nepal Super League’ football tournament, which is being organized for the first time in Nepal, has been announced. Seven franchise teams were announced in Kathmandu on Sunday.
Nepal Sports and Events Management has unveiled the logos of seven franchise teams participating in the league. The franchise teams participating in the competition are Biratnagar City FC, Kathmandu Razors, Lalitpur City FC, FC Chitwan, Pokhara Thunders, Butwal Lumbini FC and Dhangadhi FC.
The competition will start on Baisakh 11. In the first edition, the game will be played in single round robin. The organizers have informed that the game will be played in double round robin from the second edition.
Anup Ranjan Bhattarai, Chairman of Biratnagar City FC, Chiranjeevi Shah, CEO of Kathmandu Rangers, Kamana Gurung, Director of Lalitpur FC, Sachin Dhakal, Director of FC Chitwan, Nirakal Shrestha, Manager of Pokhara Thunders, Raj Kumar Timsina, Chairman of Butwal Lumbini FC and Subash Shahi, Chairman of Dhangadhi FC unveiled their team logos. .
The Nepal Super League will be held from 11 to 25 Baisakh with the technical assistance of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). A team will have 20 players.
