Global IME Bank launches 8 new branchless banking
Kathmandu. Global IME Bank Limited has launched branchless banking services in 8 new locations. The bank has launched new branchless banking services in Nepaltar of Ilam, Bandipur of Siraha, Thuman of Rasuwa, Orphan Shop of Tanahu, Milanchowk of Kailali, Koiralaphant of Lamjung, Simalghari of Banke and Ratanmare of Arghakhanchi.
With the launch of these branchless banking services, the number of branchless banking services of the bank has reached 253.
From the branchless banking service, local residents of various rural areas of the country will be able to avail banking services through local representatives. From this, one can open a deposit account, deposit and withdraw money up to a specified limit, get information about the balance in one’s account, pay interest on loans, pay tariffs of telecommunication service providers, and recharge mobiles, the bank said.
Global IME Bank has launched branchless banking services in these areas to alleviate the compulsion of the people of these areas, which are the main sources of income for agriculture, remittances and tourism, to travel far and wide to avail banking services.
