Kavrepalanchok. Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal said that a conducive environment has been created for conducting business activities in the country.

Addressing the 41st Annual General Assembly and Convention of the Kavre Chamber of Commerce and Industry as the chief guest on Saturday, Senior Vice President Dhakal said that the interest rate of the bank has come down to single digits and the outbreak of Covid-19 is gradually decreasing.

Stating that the relationship between banks and businessmen should be good, Dhakal, who is also the chairman of Global IME Bank, claimed that there is no need to abuse the bank now. “The bank’s interest rate and base rate have now dropped to single digits. The spread rate has also fallen below the rate set by the central bank. Now is the time for us to increase our business activities, not just abuse the bank, ”he said.

He said that the current tax and VAT rates should be gradually revised to further improve the investment-friendly environment in the country.

He asserted that his party did worse than expected from opinion polls, which saw them at gaining about a third of the support. “Even if there are pros and cons during the election, all parties have to move forward together from the day the election is over,” he said. He said that the current leadership of the federation would continue dialogue, dialogue and cooperation with the government and other stakeholders to create a business environment in the country.
