As fuel prices rose, so did air fares

Kathmandu. Private airlines are planning to increase air fares. The Nepal Airlines Corporation has decided to increase the price of aviation fuel as well as the airline operators’ association.

“As the Nepal Oil Corporation has decided to increase the price of aviation fuel by Rs. 2 per liter with effect from 12 noon on 2077/10/11, the airlines affiliated to the association have decided to implement new fuel fare from 2077/11/08,” the association said on Friday. It is written in the press release.

The association has offered Rs 70 for mountain flights, Rs 60 for Kathmandu-Bhadrapur, Rs 45 for Kathmandu-Biratnagar, Rs 25 for Kathmandu-Janakpur, Rs 20 for Kathmandu-Bharatpur, Rs 30 for Kathmandu-Pokhara, Rs 45 for Kathmandu-Bhairahawa, Rs 65 for Kathmandu-Nepalgunj, Rs 90 for Kathmandu-Dhangadhi and Rs 40 for Kathmandu-Tumlingtar. Fuel charge has been increased by Rs 15 on Kathmandu-Simara flight.
