Citizens Bank’s branchless banking service in Surkhet

Surkhet. Citizens Bank International Limited has expanded its branchless banking services with the objective of providing all-accessible and state-of-the-art banking services to the residents of various remote areas of the country.

The bank has launched 108th branchless banking service in Barahatal village municipality Taranga of Surkhet district from this February.

The bank has appointed local businessman Tek Bahadur Kathayat as its business representative to operate the service. From this branchless banking, deposit collection, payment, fund transfer, mobile phone bill payment, payment of useful services and other services provided by the bank will be available.

The service is expected to spread remarkable trust and banking culture in rural areas, the bank said.

Citizens Bank International Limited operates 109 branches and 98 ATMs across the country. And it has been providing modern banking services to around seven lakh customers from 108 branchless banking units.
