APF undefeated champion
Kathmandu. Armed Police Club APF has become the champion of the National Women’s League.
In the last match of the league, another departmental team defeated Tribhuvan Army Club 3-0 on Friday to remain undefeated in the APF competition.
Along with the title, APF has received Rs 15,00,000. The runner-up Army received Rs 800,000, the third-placed Nepal Police Club Rs 500,000 and the fourth-placed Waling Municipality of Syangja Rs 300,000. Similarly, the club of Chandrapur Municipality of Rautahat, which won the title of fair play, received Rs 150,000, according to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
APF, which has not lost a game in all 12 games of the league, scored 77 goals and conceded only one goal. The Army has managed to stay in second place in the league.
Saru Limbu scored two goals and Anita KC scored one goal to help APF win the match at Dasharath Stadium on Friday.
Saru Limbu, who was declared the best player of the tournament, received the Yamaha Scooter Award.
Similarly, APF coach Bhagwati Thapa was declared the best coach, APF’s Sabitra Bhandari the best forward, Nepal Police Club’s Amrita Jaisi the best defender and Usha Nath the best goalkeeper and Army’s Bimala Chaudhary the best midfielder. Everyone has received a prize of Rs 50,000.
