Establishment of Color Research Lab by OPPO and Zhejiang University
Kathmandu: OPPO has announced the establishment of OPPO-Zhejiang University Joint Innovation Center, Color Research Lab in collaboration with Zhejiang University. The company said that the color research lab is being set up with the objective of developing talents in the fields of scientific exploration, technological innovation and color science.
Zhejiang University is one of the world’s leading universities in the field of technological innovation. According to the 2020 QS World University Rankings, the university is ranked 53rd.

Under the joint research project, OPPO and Zhejiang University will conduct studies for basic color science subjects, color technology, technical standards and talent development. The lab continues its research under basic color science by establishing a comprehensive color vision database, developing visual functions and color models, and studying its practical application. It will also assist in the design of Oppo’s leading products in high quality color management and the establishment of a platform for original color technology to solve practical problems under color engineering.
OPPO has also prepared a detailed plan to help in the development of scientific talent and capacity. Through the relevant training program, engineers with extraordinary talent will be given priority in the OPPO R&D group and will be helped to put their theoretical concepts into practice.
