BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division General Manager, Mr. Liu Xueliang, commits to accelerating growth in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Mr. Liu Xueliang, the esteemed General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, embarked on a significant visit to Nepal from May 4th to May 6th, 2024, marking a pivotal moment in BYD’s commitment to the Nepalese market.

Accompanied by a distinguished delegation including Ms. Gillian Li, Passenger Vehicle Office Director; Mr. Javy Wang, Product Manager; Ms. Kaisy Ke, Legal Manager; and Mr. Ketsu Zhang, Deputy General Manager, the visit encompassed a series of strategic engagements aimed at fortifying BYD’ presence and fostering collaborative growth in Nepal’s automotive landscape.

The itinerary commenced with Mr. Liu Xueliang and the BYD team’s visit to the BYD Showroom in Naxal, Kathmandu, and Pulchowk, Lalitpur on May 5th, 2024.

At these locations, Mr. Liu personally delivered a total of 14 vehicles, including the cutting-edge BYD ATTO 3 and BYD Dolphin models, underscoring BYD’s commitment to providing innovative mobility solutions tailored to the needs of Nepalese customers.

Subsequently, the delegation visited the BYD Service Center in Guheshwori, Kathmandu, reaffirming BYD’s dedication to ensuring exceptional after-sales service and support infrastructure in Nepal.

A highlight of the visit was the "BYD APAC Nepal Strategy Summit: Accelerating Growth Together,& convened by Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., BYD’s authorized distributor in Nepal. Held on May 5th, 2024, in Kathmandu, this summit served as a collaborative platform for stakeholders to reflect on BYD’s journey in Nepal and chart a course for future endeavors. Mr. Liu Xueliang provided invaluable insights into BYD’s vehicle lineup and reiterated the company’s steadfast commitment to technological innovation
and customer-centricity.

Moreover, Mr. Liu commended Nepal’s remarkable achievement of over 60% EV penetration in 2022 and 2023, highlighting the nation’s progressive stance towards sustainable mobility.

In recognition of BYD’s accomplishments and the contributions of its partners and employees, Cimex Inc. hosted the prestigious “BYD Gala Night” on May 5th, 2024, at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel.

The event served as a platform to celebrate milestones and honor individuals who have played instrumental roles in BYD’s success story in Nepal.

The visit culminated in a high-level meeting between Mr. Liu Xueliang, key executives from BYD, and prominent figures including Mr. Anil Shrestha, Chair of Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., and the Rt. Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda).
