Bilateral agreement between Nepal and Qatar signed

KATHMANDU: Nepal and Qatar have solidified their commitment to bilateral investment and cooperation with the signing of a memorandum of understanding.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ engaged in discussions with Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, resulting in the signing of the agreement on behalf of Nepal.

Additionally, two agreements were inked between the Attorney General’s office and the diplomatic training and study entities of both nations, as well as between the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and the Nepal Federation of Industries and Commerce.

While the specifics of these agreements have not been disclosed to the public, they signify a deeper level of collaboration between the two countries.

To commemorate this significant milestone, the Prime Minister is hosting a luncheon in honor of the Qatari Emir.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived in Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon at the invitation of President Ram Chandra Paudel.

As his visit draws to a close, the esteemed guest is scheduled to depart from Kathmandu this afternoon.
