KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha is set to embark on a journey to China on Sunday.

DPM Shrestha’s nine-day official visit to the People’s Republic of China comes at the invitation of Wang Yi, a Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Foreign Minister of China.

As per a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DPM Shrestha is slated to engage in bilateral discussions with his Chinese counterpart, Wang, on March 26.

During his stay in China, DPM Shrestha will also meet with prominent figures in Beijing and other provinces.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister is expected to return to Kathmandu on April 1st.
