White House warns: “Hell Will Follow” if Iran refuses deal
KATHMANDU: U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, signaling that refusal to agree to a peace deal could unleash “hell,” White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said.
Levitt emphasized that the president’s threats are not empty, stating, “President Trump is ready to take tough action. Any violence that follows will be the responsibility of the Iranian regime, as they refuse to acknowledge their defeat and come to the negotiating table.”
When asked about ongoing efforts to end the conflict, Levitt declined to reveal which parties Washington is engaging with, citing the highly sensitive nature of diplomatic discussions. She added that the war, which began on February 28, is expected to last between four to six weeks.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei denied any talks with the United States, criticizing American diplomacy as untrustworthy. Baghaei recalled that prior U.S. strikes during nuclear negotiations had created a “painful experience” for Iranian diplomacy.
Additionally, Ebrahim Jolfgari, spokesperson for Iran’s main military command Khatam al-Anbiya, suggested that the U.S. is negotiating with itself due to internal conflict, urging America not to disguise defeat as a peace deal. “The enemy’s strategic pride has turned into strategic failure,” he said.
