Update PAN & email: NIC ASIA Bank notifies customers
Under the Income Tax Act, 2058, the bank is required to link all tax deductions at source (TDS) from customer accounts to the government’s PAN system.
KATHMANDU: NIC ASIA Bank, a leader in dynamic banking services, has requested all its valued customers to update their Permanent Account Number (PAN) and email addresses linked to their accounts.
Under the Income Tax Act, 2058, the bank is required to link all tax deductions at source (TDS) from customer accounts to the government’s PAN system.
Customers can update their PAN promptly via the bank’s portal at panupdate.nicasiabank.com or through the NIC ASIA MoBank mobile app under the “PAN Update” option. PAN updates can also be submitted at any branch of the bank.
Updating PAN is crucial for recording TDS on interest payments in the E-TDS system, ensuring that tax deduction details are correctly mapped to the customer’s PAN.
This automation allows customers to easily access TDS certificates and tax clearance certificates without visiting the bank physically.
NIC ASIA Bank emphasizes that any failure to update PAN may result in TDS not being reflected, and the bank will not be responsible for any subsequent adjustments in interest tax.
Additionally, the bank urges customers to update their email addresses. This can be done through the bank’s Video KYC platform at https://www.nicasiabank.com/video-kyc/ or the My Profile → Change Email option in the MoBank app.
Email updates can also be submitted at any branch.
For customers who have already provided their PAN but still do not see TDS reflected, or whose email addresses remain unupdated, NIC ASIA Bank requests contacting the nearest branch or the customer service center at 1660–01–77771 or 01–5970101 for assistance.
