UML’s proportional list out: Full lineup revealed (list)

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has formally released its complete proportional representation candidate list for the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies, submitted to the Election Commission on Poush 14.

While some names had leaked earlier, the party has now made the full list public.

The release, however, has exposed internal tensions. Senior party figures and grassroots members have criticized the list for favoring long-standing leaders repeatedly, sidelining new and capable faces, and lacking inclusivity.

Suggestions from Vice Chair Gokarna Bista and Deputy General Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai were reportedly ignored, with leadership unilaterally finalizing the roster, sparking discontent within party ranks.
