UML names 17 new central committee members & 7 state in-charges
The party's Secretariat meeting held on Thursday decided to nominate Guru Baral, a permanent committee member, for the vacant vice-chairman role.
KATHMANDU: The CPN (UML) has appointed Guru Baral to fill the vacant vice-chair position.
The party’s Secretariat meeting held on Thursday decided to nominate Guru Baral, a permanent committee member, for the vacant vice-chairman role.
The meeting also appointed Mukunda Neupane and Lilanath Shrestha as permanent committee members, according to General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel.
In addition, the meeting designated provincial in-charges as follows: Sherdhan Rai for Koshi State, Lilanath Shrestha for Madhesh State, Dr. Rajan Bhattarai for Bagmati State, Kiran Gurung for Gandaki State, Padma Aryal for Lumbini State, Gorkhabahadur Bogati for Karnali State, and Lekhnath Bhatta for Sudurpashchim State.
The meeting also appointed 17 new members to the central committee, including Subash Karmacharya, Kundan Kuswaha, Jitendra Dev, Ramprit Ram, Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel, Komal Timilsina, Govinda Pun, Kedar Sigdel, Manohar Paudel, Hardev Joshi, Hari Upreti, Indra Bhandari, Mahesh Bartaula, Sarita Bhusal, Prabha Baral, Manju Sharma Chalise, and Aasha Jabaiko.
Furthermore, the meeting decided to recommend Aman Singh Tamang, Jabi Pokhrel, Narvada Bhandari, Ratna Gurung, and Kamala KC as members of the Election Commission. Maya Nath Adhikari was appointed as a member of the Disciplinary Commission.
The meeting also nominated Kul Anand Giri, Mahendra Thapa, PL Shrestha, Shivchandra Kushwaha, Ramprit Paswan, Ekbal Mia, Dr. Gopal Khanal, and Khalid Hussein Hak to the Advisory Council.
Additionally, Hari Rijal, Prem Bahadur Singh, Krishna Prasad Dahal, Binod Dhakal, Sanu Shrestha, Srijana Sharma, Pradeep Bhandari, Arjun Bahadur Thapa, Shyam Bagal, Narayan Marasini, Ghanendra Ghimire, Nandlal Rokaya, Janak Paudel, and Meghnath Suvedi, among others, were also appointed to the Advisory Council.
