UML issues whip to ensure support for budget bill in parliament

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has issued a whip to all its Members of Parliament, instructing them to be present and vote in favor of the Appropriation Bill for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.
Chief Whip of the UML Parliamentary Party, Mahesh Kumar Bartaula, issued the directive on Monday, requiring all UML lawmakers in the House of Representatives to attend Tuesday’s session and support the bill.
The Appropriation Bill, which was presented by the government in the Federal Parliament on Jestha 15, is set to be tabled for final approval in Tuesday’s parliamentary meeting.

As the main opposition party, UML holds a decisive role in the budget’s passage.
The party has issued the whip to ensure full attendance and reinforce its influence during the voting process.
