KATHMANDU: Amidst the recent political reshuffling in Kathmandu, the UML has demanded the immediate resignation of Chief Minister Kedar Karki in the Koshi State.

Karki, who assumed office on Ashoj 27 (Oct 14) with the backing of 39 UML MPs and 8 rebel MPs, received a vote of confidence from various parties, including Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Centre, Unified Samajwadi Party, JSP, and 6 MPs of RPP.

However, with the emergence of a new political coalition, UML is now urging Karki to step down from his position.
