Two killed as microlight aircraft crashes in Ghana’s Tema

KATHMANDU: Two people have died after a microlight aircraft crashed in Tema, a key port city in eastern Ghana, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
The accident occurred at the premises of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly Nursery 3 school, located in Community 1, raising alarm among local residents and school staff.
Ebenezer Yenzu, spokesperson for the Tema Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service, said the aircraft crashed into the school compound and caught fire shortly after impact.

Emergency teams secured the area immediately after the incident, while officials confirmed that two people on board the aircraft lost their lives. No additional casualties have been reported from the ground.
