KATHMANDU: Police in Morang’s Gramathan Rural Municipality–5 have arrested two individuals in connection with the illegal possession of banned drugs.

The operation, carried out by a team from Tetariya Police Post, involved stopping and inspecting a City Safari vehicle (Province 1–01–002 Ha 3973).

The driver, Ranjit Sah, and passenger Bhakulal Bishwas Tharu—owner of Baijanath Pharmacy, both from Sundarharaicha Municipality—were found carrying 1,500 tablets of Spaspen and 1,020 capsules of Tramadol.

Authorities have confirmed that both suspects are under investigation for the illegal trade and trafficking of prohibited drugs by the Belbari Police Office.
