TU’s 51st Convocation: 16,300+ students graduate

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan University today conferred degrees to over 16,300 students at its 51st convocation, held at Dasharath Rangashala.

The ceremony was presided over by Prime Minister and University Chancellor, Sushila Karki, alongside leading figures from the academic community.

A total of 89,101 students have graduated this year across undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil, and PhD programs.

For the first time in the university’s history, Nobel laureate Japanese Professor Takaaki Kajita attended the convocation as the chief guest.

The event also saw the presence of Vice-Chancellor and Minister for Education, Science, and Technology, Mahabir Pun, along with other scholars.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Deepak Aryal highlighted the university’s progressive reforms and congratulated the newly graduated students on their achievements.
