KATHMANDU: U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Colombian President Gustavo Petro of potential removal from office and even military action, accusing the Colombian leadership of involvement in drug trafficking and raising concerns over regional security.
Petro, who has long opposed drug trafficking, called for an emergency meeting of the Organization of American States and the United Nations to discuss U.S. attacks on Venezuela.
Earlier, Trump indicated in an interview with Politico that he would consider expanding military actions against targets in countries including Mexico and Colombia.
