KATHMANDU: The inquiry commission investigating the Gen Z movement incidents has lifted the travel restrictions previously imposed on former officials.
The commission had barred former Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadi, former Inspector General of Police Chandrakuber Khapung, and former Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Chhabilal Rijal, from traveling abroad, as well as from leaving the Kathmandu Valley, in connection with the probe into the events of Sept 8-9.
According to Deputy Secretary Kamal Prasad Pandey, the restrictions have now been removed following the completion of the related procedural actions decided in the commission’s meetings on Sept 28 and Nov 13.
