KATHMANDU: Security has been tightened at the Kathmandu District Attorney’s Office following the arrest of Durga Prasai on Friday.

Authorities increased police deployment as crowds of Prasai’s supporters began gathering after news spread that he would be brought to the office for an extension of his detention.

Extra security personnel have been stationed around the premises, and access is being strictly controlled to prevent any potential disturbances.
