KATHMANDU: At the 11th National Convention of the CPN-UML, incumbent Chair KP Sharma Oli has been re-elected with a decisive mandate.

Oli secured 1,663 votes, defeating his rival Ishwor Pokharel, who received 564 votes.

In the race for five vice-chairperson positions, the winners are:

  • Prithvi Subba Gurung – 1,737 votes

  • Bishnu Prasad Paudel – 1,675 votes

  • Rambharadur Thapa ‘Badal’ – 1,516 votes

  • Gokarna Raj Bista – 1,368 votes

  • Raghuji Panta – 1,258 votes

Other notable candidates included Binda Pandey (921 votes), Parshuram Meghi Gurung (461), Arun Nepal (439), Tanka Prasad Karki (358), and Bhim Prasad Acharya (265).
