KATHMANDU: Nepal will take on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the second match of their T20 International series today at the Tribhuvan University (TU) Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

The match is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM.

UAE lead the series 1–0 after winning the opening match.

For the series, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has named Dipendra Singh Airee as captain, marking a new phase in team leadership structure.

This is the first time Nepal have experimented with separate captains for T20 and ODI formats.

The squad includes Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, Sundeep Jora, Aarif Sheikh, Basir Ahmed, Gulshan Jha, Lokesh Bam, Sandeep Lamichhane, Nandan Yadav, Santosh Yadav, Arjun Saud, Hemant Dhami, Sahab Alam and Sher Malla. Reserves include Pratis GC, Narayan Joshi and Rashid Khan.

Notably, senior players such as Rohit Paudel, Sompal Kami and Karan KC are not part of the T20 squad for this series.

Nepal will be looking to bounce back and level the series after their defeat in the opening encounter.
