KATHMANDU: The eight teams advancing to the Super 8 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 have been confirmed.
Although a few group-stage matches remain, the standings have already determined the two qualifiers from each of the four groups.
Group A: India, Pakistan, USA, Netherlands, and Namibia competed in this group. India topped the group, winning all four of their matches to secure a Super 8 spot. Pakistan also qualified, defeating every team except India, finishing with six points. The USA won two games, the Netherlands won one, while Namibia ended the group without any points and were eliminated.
Group B: Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe have secured their Super 8 berths, with one match still remaining between them to decide the group winner and runner-up. Ireland, Australia, and Oman have been eliminated from this group.
Group C: West Indies and England are confirmed for the Super 8 stage. West Indies, with six points, remain top of the group with one match left against Italy. England also has six points. Scotland, Italy, and Nepal have been eliminated from this group.
Group D: South Africa and New Zealand have confirmed their places in the Super 8s, having won four and three matches respectively. Afghanistan, UAE, and Canada were eliminated from this group.
The Super 8 stage will begin on Saturday. The teams have been divided into two groups:

Each team will play all others in their group, with the top two teams advancing to the semifinals. The opening match of the Super 8s will feature New Zealand facing Pakistan.
The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 final is scheduled for March 8, 2026.
