KATHMANDU: Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital has announced that it will provide free treatment for children under 18 who suffer burn injuries.
According to the hospital’s administration chief, Praphulla Sharma, the facility will offer free medical care to children burned by fire or affected by other forms of burns.
He noted that the hospital provided free treatment to 142 children last year alone.
Medical Director Dr. Santosh Bhandari said that children below 18 will receive free surgery, hospital beds, dressing services, and medicines as part of the program.
Established in 1997 with the primary objective of treating burn patients, the hospital has provided care to over 500,000 burn patients to date.
