KATHMANDU: The swearing-in ceremony of Nepali Congress leader Kham Bahadur Garbuja, who was recently appointed as the State Minister for Energy, has been postponed indefinitely.

According to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s Press Coordinator, Prakash Silwal, the oath-taking ceremony was scheduled for 10 AM today but has been halted without a specified new date. Alongside the ceremony, today’s scheduled Cabinet meeting has also been deferred until further notice.

While the government has not released an official reason for the postponement, the sudden decision has sparked interest and speculation in political circles.

Garbuja was appointed to the position on Thursday, and his swearing-in was anticipated as part of the broader government restructuring.

Observers see the delay as potentially linked to internal political negotiations or unforeseen developments within the ruling alliance.
