KATHMANDU: Students staged a protest at Maitighar Mandala on Wednesday, demanding immediate correction of errors in the recently published Grade 12 examination results by the National Examination Board (NEB).

The protesting students said that despite appearing in the examinations regularly, their results incorrectly showed them as “absent.”

They also alleged unusually low marks compared to expectations and criticized the high fees charged for re-totaling and rechecking of answer sheets.

According to the students, administrative and technical mistakes by the board have created serious uncertainty over their academic future. They accused the board of rushing the publication of results, which they say has led to avoidable errors affecting examinees.

The protesters have demanded free correction of all result-related errors, immediate resolution of the “absent” status issue, free rechecking of answer sheets, and a clear explanation from the examination board regarding the discrepancies.
