Stock market sees minor decline on last day of week

KATHMANDU: The stock market witnessed a slight decline on the last trading day of the week.
The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index dropped by 0.93 points, closing at 2,560.15 points on Thursday.

A total of 1,04,49,296 shares worth Rs 4.68 billion (468 crore 88 lakh 68 thousand) were traded during the day.
At market close, the share prices of 112 companies had risen, while 138 companies saw a decline in their stock prices.
Additionally, the share prices of six companies remained unchanged.
A total of 328 companies were involved in the trading process, with 66,079 transactions taking place throughout the day.
Even with the market downturn, five companies’ shares were traded at a positive circuit level.
Out of the 13 market sectors, six experienced growth, while the remaining seven sectors saw declines.
Investors earned the most in the Hotel and Tourism sector, while the Finance sector suffered the biggest losses.
