Star-studded cast headlines “The Blue Light”

KATHMANDU: The upcoming Nepali film The Blue Light is set to release on Magh 16 (Jan 30), bringing together a stellar lineup of experienced actors ready to captivate audiences.
The film features Benisha Hamal, who has already proven her mettle with Blind Rocks, in the lead role.
She plays Maya, a young woman trapped in loneliness and deceit, whose life becomes a web of mystery, love, betrayal, and revenge.

Mahesh Tripathi, known for his acclaimed performance in Halkara and currently seen in Paran, takes on another pivotal role, adding further depth to the ensemble.

Directed by Baliram Chauhan in his directorial debut, The Blue Light comes from a filmmaker with extensive experience as a chief editor, including work on the recent Dashain release Balidan.
The film is produced under the banner of Skyfall Pictures.
The psychological thriller has already generated buzz following the release of its official trailer on YouTube, receiving positive responses for its suspenseful narrative and powerful performances.
Viewers have praised the film as a fresh and innovative addition to Nepali cinema, particularly appealing to audiences who enjoy intense and complex stories.
The trailer sets a mysterious, dark tone from the beginning, highlighting Maya’s struggles and the unfolding secrets around the character Vikram.

Arpan Thapa’s enigmatic role, along with police interrogation sequences, adds layers to the suspense, leaving viewers intrigued about the significance of “The Blue Light.”
Chauhan emphasizes that while the film’s theme may not be entirely new, its presentation is unique:
“The subject itself isn’t new, but we have presented it in a fresh style,” says Chauhan. “The emotions and sensitivities of the characters are heightened to offer the audience a unique cinematic experience.”
The film is co-produced by Bholanath Kutuwal and Raman Grey, with executive producers including cinematographer Narendra Mainali and lead actress Benisha Hamal.
