Special employment opportunity in Korea for Nepali engineers
According to the notice, engineers who meet the specified qualifications will now be eligible to work in South Korea.
KATHMANDU: The Embassy of Nepal in Seoul has announced a major development regarding the deployment of skilled workers to South Korea.
Implementing the third amendment to the “Procedure for Sending Skilled Workers, 2080” approved by the Ministry of Labour, Employment, and Social Security, the embassy has confirmed that employment opportunities in South Korea are now open for Nepali engineering graduates.
According to the notice, engineers who meet the specified qualifications will now be eligible to work in South Korea.
The embassy has already started issuing certification for eligible applicants, marking a significant step toward expanding overseas employment opportunities for skilled Nepali manpower.
To obtain certification, interested engineers must submit their request letters to the embassy. After verification, the embassy will forward the details to the Labour Ministry.
To ensure transparency, all related notices on demand verification will be published on the embassy’s official website, notice board, and through national daily newspapers.
The embassy has further clarified that all employment-related processes will strictly take place through the Employment Permit System (EPS).
It has strongly urged Nepali workers not to engage in financial dealings with any individual or institution outside the official channel, warning that this could expose them to fraud.
As the deadline for demand submission approaches, the embassy has advised applicants to prepare and submit all necessary documents on time to avoid delays.
