Speaker Ghimire holds talks with party whips ahead of house meeting
According to the Speaker's private secretariat, Speaker Ghimire began the talks with the chief whips of the major parties at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
KATHMANDU: Before today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Speaker Devrat Ghimire has initiated discussions with the chief whips of political parties.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 11 AM today.
According to the Speaker’s private secretariat, Speaker Ghimire began the talks with the chief whips of the major parties at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
The meeting includes Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress Shyam Kumar Ghimire, Chief Whip of the CPN (UML) Mahesh Bartola, Chief Whip of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Hitraj Pande, and Chief Whip of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Santosh Pariyar, among others.
Due to opposition parties’ obstruction, the Federal Parliament session has been postponed twice already.
