Speaker discusses Bhadra parliament agenda with chief whips

KATHMANDU: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has held discussions with chief whips of major political parties regarding the parliamentary agenda for the month of Bhadra.

On Friday, at Singha Durbar, the Speaker met with the chief whips to deliberate on how to set the schedule and ensure smooth operation of the House.

According to Hit Raj Pandey, Chief Whip of the CPN (Maoist Centre), the discussions focused on preparing the agenda for the first half of the month, from Bhadra 1 to 15.

Pandey said he suggested that the schedule be prepared keeping in mind the upcoming festivals celebrated by Nepali women, particularly Teej.

The next meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled for Bhadra 4.
