Soina Sharma honored with JCI Award 2025

KATHMANDU: Health sector leader and social activist Soina Sharma has been conferred the JCI Award 2025 for her remarkable contributions to healthcare.
The honor was presented during the closing ceremony of JCI Week 2025, organized by Biratnagar JCI.
Sharma, daughter of popular Nepali Congress leader and former lawmaker Dr. Sunil Sharma, was recognized for her dedication, humanitarian service, and notable impact in the healthcare sector.
She currently serves as the executive director of Nobel Medical College and Kathmandu Medical College.
Speakers at the event lauded Sharma’s leadership, integrity, and commitment to social responsibility from a young age, highlighting the positive influence of her dedication and perseverance on society.
Biratnagar Mayor Nagesh Koirala praised Sharma for prioritizing humanitarian values over profit in the healthcare sector.
“Contributions from individuals like her spread the light of humanity in our society. Awards like this from JCI inspire continued service,” he said.
Sharma has long been actively involved in healthcare management, service expansion, and public welfare initiatives.
