Sharp drop in gold & silver prices

KATHMANDU: The market witnessed a significant decline in gold and silver prices on Wednesday.

According to the latest update from the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold fell sharply by Rs 2,200 per tola.

On Tuesday, the price of standard gold was Rs 309,900 per tola, but it dropped to Rs 307,700 per tola on Wednesday.

Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold is now set at Rs 263,805.

Silver prices also saw a decrease. Silver, which traded at Rs 5,335 per tola on Tuesday, fell by Rs 185, reaching Rs 5,150 per tola on Wednesday.

The price for 10 grams of silver is now fixed at Rs 4,415, the association reported.
