KATHMANDU: Scotland held their nerve in a tense finish to secure a narrow 2-run victory over Nepal in the ICC World Cup League 2 encounter at TU Ground, Kirtipur.
Chasing a revised target of 221 runs under the DLS method, Nepal national cricket team fell just short, finishing on 218 for 7 in 39 overs despite a powerful late fightback.
Gulshan Jha produced a brilliant unbeaten 61 off just 35 balls, smashing 2 fours and 5 sixes, but could not take his side over the line.
Earlier, Dipendra Singh Airee contributed 55 runs, captain Rohit Paudel made 32, Aasif Sheikh scored 21, and Karan KC added 18.
For Scotland, Scotland national cricket team were led by disciplined bowling under pressure.
Brad Currie starred with 3 wickets, while Mark Watt claimed 2.
