KATHMANDU: Nepal’s star leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has created history by becoming the fastest bowler to reach 150 wickets in One Day Internationals, breaking the record previously held by Australia’s Mitchell Starc.
The milestone was achieved during Nepal’s ongoing match against Scotland in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, where Lamichhane picked up three wickets, dismissing George Munsey, Brandon McMullen, and Matthew Cross.
He reached the landmark in just 73 ODI matches, surpassing Starc’s previous record of 77 matches.
