Sandeep Lamichhane signs for Liege Red Lions in EU T20 League
The tournament is scheduled to run from June 6 to June 14.
KATHMANDU: Nepal national team spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is set to feature in Belgium’s EU T20 League after being signed by Liege Red Lions.
The franchise confirmed that Lamichhane was pre-signed ahead of the draft, adding further strength to an already star-studded squad. The team has previously secured international names including Chris Lynn, Corey Anderson, and Shoaib Malik.
Welcoming Lamichhane as a “mystery spinner,” the club expressed confidence that his trademark googlies will bring a new edge to their bowling attack in the upcoming season. “We are weaving a new web this season. Having a master player like Sandeep in our bowling unit makes us extremely excited,” the franchise said in a statement.
The EU T20 League, Belgium’s first franchise-based cricket competition, is being organized by the Belgian Cricket Federation in partnership with Destino Legends Sports LLC. The tournament is scheduled to run from June 6 to June 14.
