Sandeep Lamichhane blacklisted by Immigration

KATHMANDU: The Immigration Department has blacklisted cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane, who is accused of rape.

As soon as the extortion complaint was filed, the police wrote to the department requesting that he be blacklisted.

Following the correspondence, he was blacklisted by the department. On September 6, a 17-year-old minor filed a complaint with the Gaushala police circle, alleging that Sandeep raped her at a Gaushala hotel on the nights of August 21 and 22.

Sandeep is currently playing in the Caribbean Premier League in St. Lucia. Sandeep traveled to Kenya to play T-20 with the national team and then to St. Lucia.
