Samragyee Shah urges public to stop mocking her engagement

KATHMANDU: Actress Samragyee Rajyalaxmi Shah has appealed to everyone not to make fun of her happiness, following ongoing discussions surrounding her recent engagement.

On Thursday, she shared an Instagram story requesting people to stop using her name for likes and views, adding that everyone has a past and deserves to move forward in life.

A few days ago, Samragyee announced her engagement through Instagram photos with a romantic caption.

However, she did not reveal her fiancé’s identity at that time.

It was later confirmed that she is engaged to Bishal Kharel, a US-based artist who has acted in films and music videos.

Amid the announcement, reports emerged that Kharel is a father to a child from a previous marriage.

His former wife, Sarita, alleged that Samragyee knowingly continued a relationship with Kharel even after learning about his past.

Responding to the accusations, Samragyee stated that both she and Kharel have their own pasts and have chosen to move forward together.

She urged the public not to ridicule her happiness and refrain from dragging her name into unnecessary controversies for online attention.
