RSP unveils schedule for first national convention

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has released its detailed work schedule for preparations of its first national convention, to be held on Asar 7, 8, and 9 (June 21, 22 & 23) in Chitwan.

The party’s Central Election Commission has set timelines for key preparatory activities, including the formation of election committees across all 77 districts and seven provinces, along with the collection of convention representative lists.

According to the approved schedule, district and provincial election committees must be formed between Jestha 7 (May 21) and Jestha 15 (May 29).

Official circulars and minute copies are to be distributed by Jestha 10 (May 24), while reports from local and district conventions must be compiled by Jestha 20 (June 3).

The deadline for submitting district convention and election reports has been set for Jestha 30 (June 13), while the list of convention representatives must be finalized by Jestha 25.

Details of elected office-bearers from provincial conventions are required to be submitted by Asar 5 (June 19).

The schedule also highlights the use of technology in the convention process, with time allocated from Jestha 7 (May 21) to Asar 5 (June 19) for discussions and preparations related to electronic voting machines.

The notice, signed by Deputy Chief of the Central Election Commission Ram Gurung, instructs all provincial committees to coordinate closely with district committees to ensure timely completion of all tasks.
