KATHMANDU: Ahead of the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has unveiled its preliminary list of candidates for the proportional representation (PR) system.

On Friday, the party released the final list of 387 aspirants who will compete in the party’s internal “primary” selection process. Initially, 414 candidates had applied, but 27 were excluded for not meeting the party’s eligibility criteria.

RSP however, assured that the excluded candidates would still have the opportunity to participate virtually in the selection process.

The party had set an application fee of Rs 50,000 per candidate, through which it collected a total of Rs 2.07 crore.
