In addition, the party has issued directives to all members, candidates, and drivers to prioritize safety and exercise the highest caution when deploying vehicles for election campaigns.

The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon in Mathiatole, Ishnath Municipality-4, Rautahat, when a car involved in the campaign of RSP candidate Sheikh Sagir hit his 4-year-old daughter, Alpha Khatun.

The vehicle, registered as Ba 15 Cha 4244, struck the child while Sagir was conducting a door-to-door campaign in Mathia village.

The seriously injured girl was initially taken to City Hospital, Gaur, by the car’s driver.

The driver fled the scene but was later apprehended by the police in the evening.

Alpha Khatun was subsequently transferred to Provincial Hospital, Gaur, for further treatment, where doctors declared her dead.

The RSP has reiterated its commitment to strict adherence to safety protocols during campaign activities to prevent such tragedies in the future.
